Terms of service

By downloading, installing, or using ClipCatch ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Your license

ClipCatch is licensed, not sold. After purchase you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on the number of Macs your plan permits. You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the app or your license key.

2. Free trial

Every plan starts with a 3-day free trial of all features. No credit card is required. After the trial, the app's recording features stop working until a license is activated.

3. Subscriptions and lifetime licenses

  • Monthly — billed every month, cancel any time from the Polar customer portal. You retain access until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Lifetime — a one-time payment for unlimited use of the version line you purchased and any compatible updates we choose to ship for free.

4. Refunds

Because we offer a fully featured 3-day free trial with no card required, all sales are final. Please use the trial to confirm ClipCatch fits your workflow before purchasing. Statutory consumer rights (e.g. EU 14-day right of withdrawal) remain unaffected where they apply.

5. Acceptable use

You're responsible for what you record with ClipCatch. Please don't use the app to record anyone or anything you don't have the right to record. ClipCatch is a local screen recorder — what you do with the resulting files is on you.

6. Updates

We may release updates that fix bugs, add features, or change behaviour. We'll do our best not to break anything you depend on, but we reserve the right to modify the app as it evolves.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these terms or attempt to defraud the licensing system (e.g. sharing keys, exceeding seat limits, charging back legitimate purchases). On termination, you must stop using the app.

8. Warranty disclaimer

ClipCatch is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that recordings will be defect-free, that the app will work for every use case, or that it will be available without interruption.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages — including lost profits, lost data, or missed trades.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the website. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the provider's place of business. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
